Acting as principal design consultant, our Health team completed the architectural design and clinical planning finalisation for Gosford Hospital’s $350 million redevelopment.
The 11-storey redevelopment delivers a new main entry and forecourt, inpatient accommodation, outpatient clinics, emergency department, surgical suite and refurbishment of part of the existing hospital.
Enhancing patient care
Emphasising patient care, the revitalised hospital campus enables ease of patient access and staff collaboration. The redevelopment focuses care within the new purpose-built inpatient and acute services building.
The planning of the public spaces within the new and refurbished buildings showcases the inner workings of the hospital while assisting in the wayfinding and orientation for visitors and staff.
All patient areas have access to natural light and views, supporting the healing nature of the design and the Hospital’s patient-focused care philosophy.
