New general learning areas, laboratories and a design studio have been woven into a modern two-level facility at Glenala State High School.

Orientated to the north, this new facility is located on a clearly defined strategic spine, linking the arrival with the recreational learning spaces. The journey delivers the students at an arrival node where access along the verandas provide an open, safe and clearly defined environment. The building form is sympathetic to the surrounding context and existing built environment with the adoption of durable and low maintenance materials.

“Thank you for all your efforts to date – in particular your passion for your work and attention to detail – it has been very much appreciated and you have been a pleasure to work with.”

– Sukkwan Hart, Project Manager, Jacobs

“The design was practical and provided opportunity for future extension. Construction phase went smoothly and RFIs were responded to an expedient manner. Project was completed on time and on budget.”

– Maria Thomson, Senior Project Coordinator, Queensland Department of Education.
