Our team completed a detailed review of Bolton Clarke’s existing signage manual and identified opportunities to redesign sign types in line with their brand refresh.
As Australia’s largest independent, not-for-profit aged care provider, the company also wanted the signage design to reflect three new tiers of offerings. We created four new signage manuals for these, as well as for Bolton Clarke’s ‘At Home Support’ and corporate offices.
The manuals detail a signage system that has reduced manufacturing costs and provided more flexibility for a range of wayfinding strategies for 130 sites across Australia.
-Four new signage manuals
-Cost savings in signage manufacture and installation
-A rollout of signage across Victorian sites including site-specific solutions for heritage-listed buildings
-New wayfinding strategies for complicated sites, and
-An elevated brand presence and greater continuity overall.
After meticulously crafting the architecture and interior design for Bolton Clarke’s Willowdale site in southwest Sydney, our team confidently selected it as the perfect canvas to test the new premium signage package.
The package, featuring unique anodised aluminium material, not only complements the site’s aesthetic but also significantly enhances user experience.
Complementing the signage, thoughtfully designed environmental graphics seamlessly blend with the site, aiding in intuitive wayfinding. Our team also developed unique boutique identities for the salon, café and theatre areas, infusing each space with distinct character.
The success of the Willowdale site – and overall direction for Bolton Clarke’s signage and wayfinding nationally – reflects our team’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of design excellence.
