Bankstown Hospital represents a bold investment in the future of healthcare – the largest capital works program for a public hospital in New South Wales.
Located in the heart of Bankstown’s CBD, the hospital has been designed as a city-shaping facility seamlessly connected to transport networks, including bus, train and the future Sydney Metro.
Architectus and BLP are working with Health Infrastructure to deliver a state-of-the-art health campus that will transform care for one of NSW’s fastest growing and most diverse regions.
The multi-storey hospital includes acute services such as a new Emergency Department, operating theatres, intensive care, and surgical and medical wards.
A welcoming main entry plaza framed by green spaces will support wellbeing for patients, clinical- and non-clinical team members, and visitors, while integrating the hospital with the life of the city.
