Employee wellbeing is at the heart of our interior fit-out for the Brisbane workplace of leading insurer Allianz Australia. The spaces are bright, accessible, and comfortable, designed to draw staff back to the office.
The large central stairs were a key design driver. Strategically positioned back-of-house, they encourage staff interaction across floors, while surrounding social and respite zones meet a variety of employee needs.
Each floor includes a range of flexible spaces, from ‘huddle’ areas for team meetings to quiet, plant-filled corners for tech-free retreat.
Workstations and loose furniture were strategically positioned near the façade, offering direct access to natural light and a visual connection with nature – part of the project’s commitment to biophilic design principles.
“Our focus on light, collaborative, technology-enabled sustainable spaces is key to leveraging one of our most important assets, our people.”

A calm, inviting atmosphere
Timber grains, organic patterned carpet, and natural stone bring biomorphic forms and patterns into the spaces for a calm, inviting atmosphere.
Reminiscent of domestic and hospitality settings, the workplace’s task and feature lighting is warm and dimmable, making the environment more adaptable and personal.
The fit-out also features an upgraded and extended outdoor terrace where staff can enjoy fresh air and sunshine without leaving the workplace.
Architectus also collaborated with Allianz on the interiors of their Adelaide workplace.
