Professional Experience

A registered architect in the UK and Germany, Olaf Detering has worked for several award-winning practices in London and Australia. In a career spanning more than 20 years, Olaf has acquired comprehensive and diverse skills leading teams through all project stages, from feasibility studies to project completion.

Olaf has significant experience on large infrastructure projects, including his current role as Project Leader on the design and development of the Melbourne Airport Rail and the Suburban Rail Loop. He is adept at conceiving integral solutions and organising space for functional movement. Olaf’s expertise enables him to give logical and insightful guidance through all phases of rail projects; both as technical advisor for the client and in delivery. He has also worked on international and national A-grade commercial office and retail developments.

Olaf is passionate about engineering and construction; he has a wealth of experience and is technically proficient.
