Professional Experience

Ian Stanger is an experienced town planner and urban designer who has led and co-ordinated projects across a diverse range of sectors in the UK and Australia. From an initial focus in residential master planning and housing-led urban renewal, his interests and portfolio have diversified from front end planning strategies to built environment design.

Since arriving in Australia in 2008, he has specialised in the urban design of activity centres, research and education precincts and transit-oriented development, as well as the delivery of new infrastructure projects. This experience has broadened his understanding of the complex, inter-disciplinary nature of the design and master planning process as well as enhanced his knowledge of building and public realm design.
