Erik is a seasoned Airport Development Strategist, with more than 25 years of global experience from both the airport operator and aviation consultancy arenas.
His portfolio features aviation planning and design work across Australia, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Skilled in master planning, airport design, capital planning, and airline consultation, he’s been involved in some of the world’s largest hub airports, including Dubai and Hong Kong.
Earlier in his career Erik led airport planning at Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), overseeing projects at 10 local airports along with global initiatives. More recently, he served as Aviation Lead Consultant on key Australian and New Zealand projects including at Melbourne, Brisbane and Western Sydney airports.
Erik shares his sector knowledge and insight as a university lecturer, a member of an international airport terminal design jury, and a regular contributor to industry conversations about the future of airport precincts.
With this extensive experience, Erik is adept at helping airports tailor their investment and focus to meet the diverse operational, regulatory, and stakeholder challenges they face today.
