Professional Experience
Eric Lee has spent more than 25 years working at some of Australia’s most acclaimed design studios. In this time, he has developed significant capability developing design strategies and architectural detailing across diverse projects in the commercial, residential, health, education, public and Defence sectors.
His portfolio encompasses projects ranging from public buildings such as Auckland Art Gallery, commercial refurbishments including 580 George St, 70 King St, Legion House, and major Defence projects including the Ben Chifley building – a largescale high-security project with a challenging technical brief.
Eric excels in managing effective, collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors. He is highly experienced in facilitating the design and documentation process, coordinating of technical consultants and managing design during construction.
At Architectus, he has applied this expertise as Project Leader during the documentation and construction phases of the Macquarie University Central Courtyard Precinct, a complex project comprising three buildings containing education spaces, student accommodation, retail, a graduation hall as well as the refurbishment of the Lincoln building.
Eric is currently Project Leader of the Architectus team collaborating with architect Richard Leplastrier on the new National Herbarium of New South Wales building in which he has played a key role in the design development stage of the competition-winning concept.
