Shepparton Law Courts wins international award
Gold and Silver awards for Shepparton Law Courts
Inspired by heritage brickwork and the iconic Australian red gum tree, the Shepparton Law Courts has won Gold and Silver in two categories at the 2019 International Project Management Association’s (IMPA) annual global awards.
Receiving global praise for its sustainable design and contemporary take on the traditional courthouse, the Shepparton Law Courts was awarded Gold in the ‘Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure’ category, and Silver in the ‘Social, Regional Development and Community Services’ category.
Designed by Architectus in association with GHD Woodhead and Guymer Bailey Architects, and developed in association with project managers Ontoit for Court Services Victoria, the Shepparton Law Courts has received extensive support from the local community and provided a quintessential landmark for the town of Shepparton.
Hosted annually, this year’s awards were presented as part of the IMPA’s 31st World Congress, with the theme of “Integrating Sustainability into Project Management”. Ontoit accepted the award at the ceremony in Mexico for their role in delivering the project management services for the $73 million redevelopment.
