New Principal reinforces city-shaping work @ Architectus

Architectus has appointed a new Principal in Sydney – Tim Moore, a highly experienced strategic planner joining our national Urban Design & Planning (UDP) team.

With one of the largest integrated UDP teams in Australia, our practice is involved in a range of major, city-shaping projects, including many in the New South Wales market. Current work includes the expansion of the Art Gallery of NSW (Sydney Modern) and the 20-year renewal of the Central Station precinct.

Tim’s appointment will bolster our already strong offer, so we can contribute to even more of the vital projects that help prepare cities for future growth and build resilience to challenges such as climate change.

Before joining us, Tim consulted on strategic and statutory planning, urban design, and project management with a range of government and private sector clients.

He also held senior roles in high-profile government bodies, including Executive Director, City Planning Strategy at the Greater Cities Commission, where he oversaw the fast-tracked review and update of Sydney’s 20-year metropolitan strategy.

His other government experience includes several years as Deputy CEO & Director, City Economy and Growth at Liverpool City Council – one of the largest local government areas in Sydney.

Qualified in Urban & Regional Planning as well as Urban Design, Tim is member of the NSW Architects Registration Board, a Ministerial appointment recognising his experience and knowledge of local government and the design quality of buildings.

Architectus CEO Ray Brown said of Tim’s appointment: “Growing cities face complex challenges that demand both a long-term vision and achievable actions. Tim has his eye on the future but also understands how to get there. He’s as committed as we are to truly integrated services, which is great news for our clients – and for our cities.”
