Art Gallery of NSW expansion moves into construction

New building for Art Gallery of NSW

The Premier of New South Wales, Gladys Berejiklian and Arts Minister Don Harwin have announced the selected contractor for the Art Gallery of NSW’s new building, designed by Pritzker prize-winning architects, SANAA.

As Executive Architect, Architectus has worked closely with SANAA on all aspects of the project briefing, the attainment of a 6 Star Green Star Design rating, the production of comprehensive documentation and a successful planning application approval.

Architectus will continue in a full-time capacity on the Sydney Modern Project as Executive Architect and in a novated relationship to the contractor, Richard Crookes Constructions, for the construction phase ahead.
