Architectus prints face shields for Australian hospitals

Face shields produced for crowdsourcing initiative

Our Brisbane team have put their 3D printers to good use during isolation, manufacturing essential protective equipment for Australian hospitals as part of a crowdsourcing initiative started by 3D One.

While working from home, Architectus BIM Manager Brendan Smith fired up our 3D printers and has since produced 230 face shield frames that will be used by medical professionals around the country as they treat COVID-19 patients.

We encourage anyone with an idle 3D printer to join this great initiative and assist in providing our hospitals with vital emergency supplies during the crisis.

A variety of PPE equipment is required, so if you have a 3D printer of any size and would like to get involved, please contact 3D One Australia at fdm@3d1.com.au to find out how you can help.
