The conference explores sustainable design, construction and maintenance for outstanding cultural facilities across the globe.
Dr Long will discuss the work of Architectus Principal Luke Johnson who has been collaborating closely with Japanese architecture and design firm SANAA as Executive Architect on the Art Gallery of New South Wales Sydney Modern Project. Stephen will share Architectus’ insights on the project including the revitalisation of the existing building, curation of the new ‘Cultural Plaza’ – a place to experience art, live performances and events, and the increased space for art display.
Stephanie will discuss the Architectus-designed upgrade and refurbishment of the Papua New Guinea National Museum and Art Gallery (PNG NMAG); providing in-depth detail on the upgrade and refurbishment of the spaces, and the importance of the museum to the people of Papua New Guinea.
