Welcoming our new Principal, Stefan Mee

Today, Architectus is pleased to welcome new Principal Stefan Mee to the practice. A highly regarded and experienced architect, Mee’s portfolio includes some of Australia’s finest buildings across university campuses and health precincts.

Previously, Mee was a driving force at Wardle, where he built his career over three decades. A design leader and company director, he was instrumental in developing a design approach alongside John Wardle and the wider team.

Stefan’s notable university projects include the Glyn Davis Building at the Melbourne School of Design and the Ian Potter Southbank Centre – both for University of Melbourne – and the Learning and Teaching Building (Clayton) and Caulfield Library for Monash University.

He was also Design Director for the concept and schematic design phases of the world-leading Australian Institute for Infectious Disease in Melbourne.

Mark van den Enden, Group Director for the Architectus Communities portfolio, says he is excited to unleash Mee’s wealth of experience onto the Architectus Education + Research and Health + Science teams.

Stefan’s appointment is yet another positive step in our evolution as a practice,” says van den Enden. “His credentials, respect among his peers and clients, and, above all else, proven design excellence are all great assets to our practice – and to all our teams working with him.”
