Architectus acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and learn.
We honour their unique cultural and spiritual relationships with the lands, waters, skies, and communities, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
Two Architectus projects have been shortlisted in the Australian Interior Design Awards (AIDA) 2026. The University of New South Wales’ Health Translation Hub (UNSW HTH) has been shortlisted in the Public category, and Architectus’ very own Brisbane Studio has been shortlisted in the Workplace category.
UNSW HTH – Public Category
Texturally rich, the interior design builds on the coastal landforms referenced in the architecture and landscape design – seating, tables, benching and planting zones create datums while subtle floor patterns assist intuitive wayfinding. The world-class research facility brings together researchers, clinicians, educators and industry partners to drive better health outcomes. Our Interiors team lead by Principal Andrew Schunke worked hand in hand with Matthew Todd Sector Leader Tertiary + Research, and Luke Johnson, Group Director Design to create a cohesive architectural and interior response.
Brisbane Studio – Workplace Category
When designers get a chance to design their own studio, it’s an opportunity to reflect on the values that drive the practice – our Brisbane Studio was no exception. Led by Troy King and Karl Eckermann, the office was imagined as a place to collaborate, but also educate clients on the sustainable, low carbon future we’re all trying to build.
