More milestones for our expanding Health team

The Health Sector at Architectus has now grown to over 130 focused, experienced designers and planners, with several new leaders joining us across the country this year.

Together, we make up the largest health-focused design team in our global region.

Principal Karl de Beer recently arrived in our Brisbane Studio to focus on the New Coomera Hospital. On the west coast, Principal Toni Neck joined the Perth team earlier this year, extending our health capability in the Western Australian market, where we’re part of the transformative Women and Babies Hospital project. This takes our total number of Principals (14) and Associate Principals (5) to 19 across Australia.

Growth in Queensland and WA this year follows significant expansion of our leadership capability in Sydney and Perth in 2025.

In addition to welcoming new leaders, we’re celebrating the recent promotions of talented Health designers – another indication of the depth of our team. Those who were recognised include Principal Pete Mitchell in Brisbane, Associate Principal Pete Agnew in Sydney, and Senior Associate Laura Molloy in Brisbane.

Nationally, the Health team is collaborating on a range of complex, high-profile projects, including facilities either recently completed or approaching the finish line. That includes Peninsula University Hospital in Victoria, the Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment in NSW, and Eurobodalla Regional Hospital in Queensland.
