Expanding our Health expertise in NSW

Leading healthcare designers have joined our New South Wales team as Architectus continues to expand its regional and national capability in the Health + Science sector.

Our expertise and portfolio of projects will benefit from the addition of new Health Principals Kim Small and Wade Sutton, who are working alongside current Health Principal John Zadro as he steps into a new role as a delivery lead for the sector.

“We’ve built an outstanding team of architects and designers with the passion, skill and insight to make a positive impact in the field of Health,” says Rebecca Moore, Sector Leader Health + Science at Architectus.

“Together we’re delivering major work including the Frankston and Melton Hospitals in Victoria; the new Shoalhaven and Eurobodalla Hospitals and world-class Health Translation Hub in New South Wales; the new Coomera Hospital in Queensland – following the success of the Satellite Health Centres – and Perth’s new Women’s & Babies Hospital, a landmark development for Western Australia,” Rebecca adds.

“These projects reflect our commitment to designing resilient, future-focused health infrastructure for communities nationwide.”

A group of professionals with deep expertise

Our newest arrivals in Health bring decades of design experience between them:

– Kim is a specialist in health design and planning who has led projects such as the Canberra Hospital Expansion and the Prince of Wales Hospital Redevelopment. Her passion for patient-centred design and her holistic, collaborative approach make her a valuable addition to the team.

– With over three decades as a healthcare design leader, Wade is known for design excellence, including in his work with NSW Health Infrastructure and as co-leader of the Design Guide for Health, Spaces, Places, and Precincts with the Government Architects NSW – now a mandatory design standard for healthcare projects in the state.

They will round out our strong NSW leadership group in Health, collaborating closely with John, whose rigor, commitment, and depth of delivery experience are valuable assets to our clients and design teams.

“These appointments set us up for success, ensuring we can support our clients with the highest calibre of design and delivery expertise,” says Rebecca.
