At the ‘fore’-front of supporting youth housing initiatives

Architectus has again teed off as the sponsor of the Property Industry Foundation’s annual Golf Day to raise funds for a critical housing initiative.

Held at Victoria’s Gisborne Golf Club, this year’s event brought together property and construction professionals in support of Haven House Shepparton – a partnership with Women’s Property Initiatives and The Bridge Youth Services to build homes for young mums and their children.

The inaugural event in February 2022 was spearheaded by Barry Aarons, former COO of Architectus and a member of PIF’s Board of Advisors at the time.

“The Golf Day is a great way for us at Architectus to make our support for the Foundation more tangible,” said Principal and Sector Leader Living, Oliver Mayger.

“It adds to the work we do providing architectural expertise to PIF initiatives that help young Australians who are experiencing homelessness.”

The 2023 Golf Day built on the success of the 2022 event, with additional event sponsors coming on board to support the cause.

“With more people involved in the event and galvanised by the work of PIF, we can ultimately raise more money together, building homes for those in need – and ideally making a long-term impact on youth homelessness,” said Oliver.
