Architectus projects win three PCA Innovation awards
Our projects have won three major awards at the Property Council of Australia’s 2024 Innovation & Excellence Awards, including Australian Development of the Year – the industry’s highest honour.
The Southern Hemisphere’s first dedicated cardiac hospital, the Victorian Heart Hospital (VHH) by Architectus Conrad Gargett (in partnership with Wardle) earned the top award after being nominated by project builder John Holland.
The VHH was also named ‘Best Public Building’ this year, recognition for public and community use buildings across sectors including health, education, the arts, and infrastructure. Our National Herbarium of NSW project was also a 2024 finalist in this category.
The PCA awards program describes the hospital as a place for “innovative, holistic, patient-centred care, world-leading research and education”. The VHH has already won or been nominated for a number of significant awards, including a prestigious international accolade from the 2023 World Architecture Festival (WAF).
Designed by Foster + Partners in collaboration with Architectus, Salesforce Tower in Sydney won the PCA’s ‘Best Office Development’ award this year.
“The tower defines the future of workplace, with flexible floor plates and multiple sustainability and technology features together with an overlay of rich social benefits for city,” notes the PCA of the project, nominated by Lendlease Development.
Our next-gen workplace, Industry Lanes – nominated by our client – was a ‘Best Office Development’ finalist in this year’s awards.
Congratulations to our design teams and clients behind these outstanding projects, as well as to fellow winners and nominated projects demonstrating innovation and excellence in the property industry.
