Architectus projects recognised at the
2026 INDE Awards

Architectus has earned an award and honourable mention at the 2026 INDE Awards.

Peninsula University Hospital, in collaboration with Bates Smart, won The Health and Wellbeing Space award, while Optus O Pavilion received an honourable mention in The Work Space category.

Celebrating its 10^th anniversary in 2026, The INDE Awards recognise projects shaping the future of architecture and design across the Indo-Pacific region.

Peninsula University Hospital – The Health and Wellbeing Space Award

The new Peninsula University Hospital is a revitalised, connected public health campus that embodies the spirit of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. The redevelopment has transformed services and the level of care for the community, with a new tower connecting to existing assets and providing 12 levels of clinical services, 130 more beds, new spaces for mental health and oncology services and 15 new operating theatres.

Co-created with the local First Nations Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, the design is guided by the principle of ‘Healing Country, Healing People’. Welcoming and uplifting for patients, visitors and employees, the hospital is positioned to optimise sunlight and views, with generous internal courtyards, balconies and spaces for respite and pause.

Optus O Pavilion – Honourable Mention for The Work Space

The O Pavilion at Optus Campus, Macquarie Park, redefines arrival and connection within the workplace environment. Designed as a transitional, open and inviting space, the pavilion mediates between landscape and building, offering areas for gathering, reflection, and shared experience.

Developed in collaboration with Balarinji, the design reflects the values and custodianship of the Wallumedegal people, the Traditional Custodians of the land. The building’s curved form draws inspiration from the remnant Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest and the endemic ecology of the campus.
