Architectus expands its Infrastructure leadership with new Principal Dean Symington

As the demand for complex infrastructure and data centre design surges in Australia, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Infrastructure Principal Dean Symington.

Specialising in industrial and commercial projects, Dean has spent the last 15 years working across a diverse portfolio. He has led the design and delivery of national data centres and large-scale logistics and distribution facilities for clients such as NEXTDC, Equinix, Microsoft, Amazon, and the Department of Defence.

“It’s an exciting time to be joining Architectus as it diversifies its infrastructure offer and expands its pipeline of projects. I look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to help grow our portfolio and meet client demand in the rapidly expanding data centre market.”

Architectus CEO Ray Brown said, “This increasing demand for data centres requires specialist expertise to holistically integrate energy, spatial, and user considerations that improve facility safety, functionality, and efficiency. Dean’s technical nous and methodical approach will strengthen our capability and enable us to deliver mission critical facilities that provide the best performance outcomes for clients.”

Dean will lead our mission critical projects and play an integral role in growing Architectus’ national infrastructure portfolio.
