Alex Lawlor appointed to GBCA Industry Advisory Group
Architectus National Leader Urban Futures and Resilience, Alex Lawlor has been appointed Group Member of the Industry Advisory Group for the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
Announced earlier this week, the GBCA 2021 Industry Advisory Group comprising representatives from both private and public enterprises including Lendlease, Investa, Property NSW and City of Melbourne will support council staff and the Green Star Advisory Committee by providing insight into industry activity and trends, while making recommendations to increase the adoption of Green Star.
Celebrating Architectus’ commitment to creating sustainable architecture and a relationship of more than 15 years with the Green Building Council of Australia, Alex says, “Architectus is proud to be a founding member of the GBCA and it’s an honour to support the council in advocacy for sustainability in the built environment.
We believe sustainability is multi-faceted; it’s about taking responsibility for the environmental impact, cultural heritage, economic viability, and social significance of our work. I’m looking forward working within the group, contributing to important industry conversation, and shaping the future of sustainable practice across all sectors.”
Established in 2002, the Green Building Council Australia’s purpose is to lead the sustainable transformation of the built environment. Read more about the appointed Advisory Committee here.
