Macarthur Town Centre Master Plan
Strategically located along the Glenfield to Macarthur Urban Renewal Corridor, four landowners have come together to develop a master plan for their sites which lie between Macarthur and Campbelltown train stations.
At approximately 7 ha, the site makes up much of the developable area directly between Macarthur and Campbelltown train stations and has the potential to create a high quality, mixed use urban precinct that will deliver an important connection between Macarthur and Campbelltown.
Architectus in collaboration with CHROFI, prepared a master plan for a mix of uses with a total of 255 900 m2 GFA which will accommodate around 2300 new apartments, 40 000 m2 of commercial uses supported by the sites proximity to mass transit and 2000 m2 of ground floor retail uses.
Key outcomes of the design include a new, high quality public domain, through-site linkages including an east-west pedestrian boulevard of over 500 metres, pedestrian and cycle connections to Macarthur and Campbelltown train stations, and a variety of open spaces including a plaza activated by outdoor dining and entertainment.
Architectus’ coordination of a team of consultants including planning, market and economic analysis, social infrastructure, retail, and traffic and transport demonstrated our expertise in project management.
