Kerrisdale Gardens will be a familiar place where residents can feel both ‘at home‘ and part of an identifiable community.

Architectus was selected by Paynter Dixon to undertake the design and documentation for a state-of-the-art aged care community for Good Sheperd, Mackay.

The project is to be realised over two key stages. The village will cater for the growing retirement needs of the Mackay region and will include:

• A four story main care building comprised of 53 high care beds and 74 apartments. In addition, the design incorporates generous community spaces, consultation spaces, and administrative areas
• 62 independant villas are set amongst a network of landscaped gardens, courtyards and squares
• A specialised young disability care facility, and
• Recreation facilities offering many opportunities for active living and socialising.

The development is designed to maximise advantages offered by the site. Kerrisdale gardens will be a comfortable place that embraces the tropical climate with deep cool shade in summer, captured breezes, pleasant views and natural light.
