Ross Styles retires

Architectus today announced the retirement of the practice’s long serving principal and former director, Ross Styles.

Long serving principal and former director of Architectus, Ross Styles, has retired bringing to close a distinguished career of some 50 years in the field of architectural design.

Architectus CEO, Ray Brown said, “during his time at Architectus Ross has led many great projects across architecture and master planning including the Crown Street, Surry Hills apartments for the NSW Department of Housing; the Sydney Nanoscience Hub at the University of Sydney; The Platform Apartments; Canberra’s Capital Metro, and many large and complex master plans in China including the mixed use cultural precinct Maanshan City Centre including opera house and administration centre. Ross founded two international studios, in China and the Middle East and travelled extensively to both regions for over 15 years, completing many projects. As a Board member Ross contributed to the success of Architectus through strategy development and strong governance and culture. Ross’ work ethic, attention to detail and good humour will be sorely missed at Architectus and we all wish him well as he takes on new challenges. He will always be part of the Architectus family.”

Commenting on his retirement, Ross Styles, said:

“It has been a pleasure to contribute to the evolution of Architectus to a highly regarded, diverse and strong design studio. Our focus, particularly over the past 10 years, has been to work on the best projects for the best clients and I wish the practice all the best in continuing that mission. Thank you to all the clients and consultants I have worked with during my 31 years at Architectus as well as to the highly committed staff who have been both colleagues and friends.”
