Matthew Holloway

Matthew joined Architectus at the beginning of 2012 having previously worked at Salmond Reed Architects in Auckland. 

He has experience of a broad range of project types including libraries, medium and high density residential, education, master planning, heritage and conservation. 

In 2014 Matthew relocated to Christchurch to take a leadership role in Architectus’ Christchurch office. He has played a key role in the design and delivery of a number of projects, notably Christchurch’s New Central Library – a key anchor project of Canterbury’s post-earthquake recovery.

Matthew has travelled extensively with The University of Auckland, including to study urban regeneration in the Iberian peninsula. After graduation, Matthew enjoyed time at The University of Auckland School of Architecture as a part-time tutor and guest critic, including travelling with the university to western Europe to tutor in a studio studying alpine architecture.
