Kirk Smith

Kirk studied in Melbourne and Auckland before joining Architectus as a graduate in 2005. He has 12 years’ experience working on a number of award-winning public and educational projects across the Auckland and Brisbane offices. 

Kirk had a key role in the delivery of a large student accommodation project for Victoria University of Wellington, where he was responsible for consultant and contractor coordination, documentation and delivery under a fast tracked programme.

In 2009 Kirk joined the Brisbane office as part of the team to develop and document the new Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law, a large scale public project which houses 39 courtrooms covering both civil and criminal jurisdictions, chambers for 69 judges, a library and courts administration facilities.

Recently Kirk has had large involvement in the design, documentation and delivery of a number of significant projects for The University of Auckland including B303 Tower – the refurbishment of an old 1960s building, B303 Undergraduate Labs and B302 enabling works projects.
