Alan J Duffy

Alan is an accomplished architect and design leader with over 20 years’ experience working in a diverse range of industry sectors. During his career Alan has held a number of senior leadership positions, including Associate Principal / Director and Studio Design Leader for award-winning practices Woods Bagot and Billard Leece Partnership. With a focus on education and science projects, Alan’s experience includes leading many projects located in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, New Zealand and Australia. This international experience, particularly in Europe, has presented Alan the opportunity to develop considerable expertise in the integration with, and respect for heritage architecture.
As a former recipient of a national Gold Medal for Art, Alan’s design process invites open dialogue through free-hand sketching to explore project ideas in a collaborative forum. His formative years working with Scott Tallon Walker Architects continues to influence his work through the design and integration of art and science in architecture.
